Help Keep Snowy Plovers Safe by Sharing the Beach!
Many activities affect the threatened Western Snowy Plover population. People who walk too close to nests, dogs, and even kites can cause birds to abandon their nests. Development or invasive plants can reduce the amount of available nesting habitat. Beach erosion and high tides can also impede their nesting success.
