Passes & Permits

Georgia Pass

Most national forests and grasslands are open, free of charge, for your use and enjoyment. Fees may be charged and permits required for some activities and locations. Business permittees, such as campground concessionaires and outfitter guides must have the appropriate permits in order to provide a service on National Forest Lands. Please contact the appropriate Ranger District office for more information on the permits required.

  • January 18, Martin Luther King Day
  • February 15, President’s Day
  • June 11, National Get Outdoors Day
  • September 24, National Public Lands Day
  • November 11, Veteran’s Day


Alert!  Commercial Road Use Rules and Road Use Permit Requirements are in effect on the White River National Forest.
