The El Yunque National Forest is participating in the National Visitor Use Monitoring (NVUM) survey starting October 11, 2015. The survey asks visitors to provide information related to their level of satisfaction with the services and facilities provided during their Forest visit.
Through October 2016, Forest Service personnel will be conducting surveys at developed and dispersed recreation sites on random dates. The basic interview lasts less than ten minutes, the survey is voluntary and all information provided is confidential.
The information gathered is useful for forest and tourism planning and provides the Forest Service with an estimate of how many people recreate in the Forest and what activities they engage in. Survey information will also be used in Forest planning, by municipal and state planning agencies and available to the United States Congress.
Thanks for your cooperation.
