The Wildflower Foray spans 3 days and includes 20+ hikes and activities in Brown and Monroe Counties. Three of the hikes are on the Hoosier National Forest. Plan now to join us to enjoy spring wildflowers in southern Indiana. For more information go to the web pages for the Foray.

Fees: Most events are free, a gate fee is charged at a few events. Registration is also required for some of the hikes including two of them on the Hoosier NF.
This event for kids 15 or younger is held at the Maumee Boy Scout camp. You must pre-register to attend and an adult must accompany their children. The fun-filled day includes activities, lunch, door prizes, and awards for the most fish and biggest fish caught by age group. The Hoosier National Forest and Bedford Parks Department are working together to host a fun day of outdoor activities on June 21. The event will be held at Murray Forest Park, just off SR 58 in Bedford. Contact the Forest or check out the event website for more information as details are added.

Information and fun activities for people of all ages! Booths set up from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Presentations given on a variety of subjects including snakes, raptors, paper making, bees, geology, and weather. Door prizes given out. No pets allowed. For more information call 812-547-7051.
We need your help on Sunday, September 7, 2014 to clean up trash along Monroe Lake and restore our lakeshore to an inviting habitat for both people and wildlife. Gloves, trashbags, snacks and a free cookout for all volunteers will be provided. The event is limited to the first 100 volunteers to register and all volunteers must be at least 10 years of age.

Check in between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m. at the Cutright State Recreation Area (on the south side of the S.R. 446 causeway.
The cookout will be for all participants at 5:30 p.m. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring your own water bottle. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or part of an organized group.
