The Barlow Ranger District will be sponsoring its annual Pioneer History Camp on September 12-19, 2015. This living history camp, attended by over 600 children last year, provides many unique hands-on activities to give visitors an inside view of life along the final stretch of the Oregon Trail in the 1840s.
The camp will be held at White River Station Campground. Admission is free. On September 12 the camp will open at noon. Normal hours are daily from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Pioneer camp has fun activities for visitors of all ages, but most camp activities are designed for kids aged between 8-12 years old.
The display is accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Groups can visit for 1-day field trips during the week. To sign up for an organized field trip, call 541- 467-5153.
