U.S. Forest Service officials invite the public to participate in one of two collaboration meetings on implementation of the 2012 decisions to manage recreation uses on the upper segment of the Chattooga Wild and Scenic River.
When and Where: The meetings will take place at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Aug. 19 at the First Baptist Church, 403 E. Main St., Walhalla, S.C. The information and format for both meetings will be the same, providing flexibility for people to attend during the day or in the evening.
Each meeting will start with information sharing from the Forest Service, followed by break-out sessions focused on designated trails and campsites.
