Thunder Basin Coal Company, Coal Company LLC - Black Thunder Mine Dewatering & Overstripping
The proposed dewatering wells are located on National Forest System lands, and consist of two areas. The FS has identified a need to authorize Thunder Basin Coal Company, LLC to construct the dewatering wells and overstrip activities. The primary purpose of dewatering is to improve highwall and soil stability for the safety of miners.
