Balcony Falls to Buena Vista Transmission Line Replacement
Dominion seeks to replace 115 kilovolt (kV) transmission lines that were constructed in the 1920s to maintain electric reliability. The lines run for approximately 20 miles from Dominion Skimmer substation to its Buena Vista substation.

The project area is located on the Glenwood and Pedlar Ranger District in Amherst, Bedford, and Rockbridge counties. The existing lines cross approximately 5.5 miles of GWJNF lands.
