On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will arc across parts of Mexico, 13 states in the U.S., and Canada. Much of the predicted eclipse path includes the Eastern (R9) and Southern (R8) regions of your National Forests.

The Onondaga County Soil & Water Conservation District (OCSWCD) in central New York combatted a conifer-killing invasive insect in its watersheds using a $50,000 USDA Forest Service Eastern Region Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) grant.
