Area Status: Open

This campground sits on a ridge top three miles east of the Allegheny Reservoir just minutes south of the PA/NY state border. This 45-site campground provides spacious, tree-shaded campsites in an area that is heavily forested with oak.

The campground contains one of the two trailheads for the Tracy Ridge Hiking Trail, with one loop circling the campground. The North Country National Scenic Trail, which connects to the Tracy Ridge Hiking Trail, also goes past the campground.

Tracy Ridge Hiking Trail System

A 33-mile interconnecting trail system.  There are multiple access points to the trail.

Viewing Wildlife

Over 70 species of game and non-game fish live in the Allegheny National Forest. Over 300 species of mammals, including raccoon, gray squirrel, snowshoe hare, red and gray fox, beaver, mink, and muskrat as well as game species suck as white-tailed deer, black bear and wild turkey.

When you see wildlife, please remember:

  • never feed wildlife
  • don't interfere with mating, predation or other natural behaviors.
  • keep a respectful distance
  • preserve habitat by following "leave no trace" principles.
  • leave young wildlife where you find them.
