Accessible from the Silver Lake ATV Trailheads, the 56-mile ATV Trail Sytem runs through the Munson Sandhills to the west of Tallahassee. The ATV trails are marked by yellow fiberglass posts and ATV and motorcycle symbols. Use is for ATVs, motorcycles, and utility vehicles.

$75 per operator per year; $10 per operator for 3 days
OHVs must stay on the designated trails. All cross-country (off road, off trail) travel by any motorized vehicle, including OHVs, is prohibited. No mudding or destruction of resources is allowed. Except on mixed use roads (see map), all numbered roads are closed to unlicensed OHVs. It is not legal to cut donuts in roads or to ride road cut banks and fill slopes. It is not legal for riders to make their own trails. Night riding is not allowed. Riding double is not allowed unless the vehicle is designed for more than one passenger (such as a utility vehicle). Trails may only be accessed from designated trailheads.

A Forest Service pass is required to ride on the OHV trails. The 3 day passes may be purchased (self service) at the trailheads. Annual trail passes are available at your local Forest Service office and at the Silver Lake Recreation Area entrance station. Camping and day use facilities in the developed recreation areas may have their own (separate) fees.
