General Information
Directions:From Ward, head north on Colorado Highway 72 for approximately three miles. Turn west on County Road 96, signed for Tahosa Boy Scout Camp, continuing 2.5 miles to the east side of Beaver Reservoir.

Two-wheel-drive access for year-round recreation.

Recreation areas with activity Horse Riding: Although parking is limited at the marked Beaver Reservoir Trailhead, there is ample room for parking and turning around with a horse trailer south of County Road 96 on the east side of Beaver Reservoir. XC Skiing/Snowshoeing
Recreation areas with activity XC Skiing/Snowshoeing: From Beaver Reservoir, skiers and snowshoers enjoy access to the Sourdough Trail and Coney Creek Road (National Forest System Road 507). Parking is available east of the reservoir or along the side of County Road 96 at its intersection with NFSR 507. NFSR 507 heads west four miles to Coney Flats, at the Indian Peaks Wilderness boundary, where the Beaver Creek Trail heads west and south. Avalanche risk increases among the slopes and drainages of the Indian Peaks.Warming Shelters | none |
