Campsite #8 at Guanella Pass, with beautiful pine trees, wildflowers, picnic table and fire grate.

Located west of Denver, Colorado, and south of Georgetown on the South Fork of Clear Creek in spruce forests. The campground is split into two loops. There are 17 sites available, 10 are suitable for RV camping and 7 are more suitable for tents. Facilities provided include restrooms and water. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate, and picnic table. Some first come, first serve sites may be available. Sites may be available on a first come first served basis outside the reservation season. There are no electric/water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground. Firewood is for sale at the campground. Nearby activities include hiking, fishing, visiting historic Georgetown and local ghost towns.

Restrictions: A single site may hold up to five people. Tents must fit on the pads provided. RVs, trailers or other vehicles must fit on the parking spur because driving or parking off road is not permitted. The parking length ranges from 20 to 45 feet.  Dogs must be on leash.

General Information

Directions: Drive west from Denver on Interstate 70. Exit at Georgetown and follow the signs 9 miles from Georgetown to Guanella Pass. Drive west from Denver on US 285 approximately 40 miles to Grant. Turn right (north) on to Park County 62. Drive 14.5 miles to the campground.

Reservation InfoCampsites are reservable from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Reservations can be made by calling toll-free 1-877-444-6777, or via the Internet at http://recreation.gov. There is a fee of $9 in addition to the campsite fee(s). Reservations must be made a minimum of four days prior to your arrival, and can be made up to 180 days in advance. Credit cards are accepted. Some campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 2 night min stay on weekends, 3 night min stay on holidays.
Fire InformationCampfires are allowed in the fire ring provided, dead and down wood may be gathered from the forest if available. Wood may also be purchased from the hosts.
