This group campground is located along Highway 119 in a lodgepole pine forest setting. There is a large parking area for the six walk-in sites. Sites #1-5 can accommodate 5-30 people; site #6 can accommodates 1-15 people. Tents only, no campers or trailers past parking area. There is an amphitheater and playground. There are no electric/water/sewer hook-ups at this campground. Water and restrooms area available. There are hiking, scenic viewing, camping, fishing, and off-highway vehicle opportunities nearby. Reservations are mandatory.

General Information

Directions: Off I-25 from Denver, west on 6th Avenue to State Highway 6, through Clear Creek Canyon. Turn on State Highway 119 toward Blackhawk and Central City. Follow highway to 4 miles north of Blackhawk. Just pastGilpin County School, turn left at Pickle Gulch sign. Follow signs from there.

Reservation InfoReservations are mandatory. Campsites are reservable from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Reservations can be made by calling toll-free 1-877-444-6777, or via the Internet at http://recreation.gov. There is a fee of $17.35 for this service in addition to the campsite fee(s). Reservations must be made a minimum of four days prior to your arrival, and can be made up to 360 days in advance. Credit cards are accepted. No refunds are given for BAD WEATHER!
Fire InformationCampfires are allowed in the fire ring provided, dead and down wood may be gathered from the forest if available. Wood may also be purchased from the hosts.
