The Meadows

This trail offers a unique connection between the Zimmerman Lake Trail and the Long Draw Road. If you travel it one way a vehicle shuttle will need to be arranged in advance. Pick up the Meadows Trail on the northwest side of the Zimmerman Lake loop. The trail soon begins to drop through dense forest and scenic meadows. After coming out on the Long Draw Road ski northwest to Colorado Highway 14 and the Blue Lake Trailhead. This a great one-way, mostly downhill, tour - once you get to Zimmerman Lake. The trail is sometimes obscured after a heavy snow. Watch for wooden arrows in the trees.
