This cabin is located along Skalkaho Highway near the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness. The cabin was used as a guard station and then later was part of an old Boy Scout camp.

From Philipsburg, drive 6 miles to the junction of Montana Highway 38, the Skalkaho Highway. Drive west on the highway 14 miles. The road to the cabin is on the left. During the winter renters may have to hike 200 yards to cabin from parking area.
There is no electricity.
There is no cell phone coverage in the area.
There is a Mandatory Food Storage order in effect annually March 1 to December 1.
There is no garbage service at this site so please pack out what you pack in.
This is a primitive one room cabin. It is equipped with a wood burning stove and firewood is provided. There is a propane cooking stove. Bring your own small canister propane. There are basic kitchen utensils as well as a table and chairs. There is no electricity or indoor plumbing.
