This paved, accessible campground has 16 sites with picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets and camp host. Will accept trailers/RV's up to 50'. It is conveniently located near Highway 93 and gets its name from the scarred ponderosa trees whose bark was long ago stripped in order to extract the cambium layer which was a food source.

Indian Trees Campground will open up on May 20, 2013. Reservations begin on May 24, 2013. Please contact Recreation.gov for reservation information. The campground will close for the season on October 1, 2013.

Directions: From Sula, MT head south 5.6 miles on Highway 93. Turn west (right) on to forest road #729 and follow for approximately 1 mile.
This campground which is located at the base of Lost Trail Pass and less than 1 mile off Highway 93 offers camping accomodations on Camp Creek. It offers a great place to stay whether your cycling cross country or just locally.
