Dakota Point Picnic Area
The Dakota Point Picnic Area has ten picnic sites. Restroom facilities are available. The picnic area is in a quiet location with many large ponderosa pine trees and a scenic view of Sheridan Lake. There are large tables suitable for group use. Access to Sheridan Lake is available for fishing.
The Dakota Point Trailhead provides access to the Centennial Trail, a 111-mile trail that provides hiking and backpacking opportunities from Bear Butte State Park in the north to Wind Cave National Park in the south.
