IC - Hayfork Campground

Hayfork Campground has 7 regular campsites and one reservable group site.  It is located 49 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho, in a scenic Ponderosa pine forest along Highway 21 at an elevation of 5,100 feet.  Wildlife and summer wildflowers are abundant.  Historic Idaho City is just 12 miles south.  Mores Creek runs between the highway and the campground, offering whitefish and rainbow trout fishing.

 

 

 

At a Glance

Current Conditions: The campground has a considerable amount of open areas with limited.shade.  There area great picnic spots across the bridge and along the river.  Numerous trails in the area provide opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicle use.  In the winter the area offers great cross country skiing and snowmobiling.

Permit Info: 1 group sites / 7 regular campsites / $15.00 - single overnight / $30.00 - double overnight. Group rates $100.00 per night.

Information Center: The campground provides a large-group reservation campsite for reservation.  It can accomodate up to 50 people and is a great opprotunity for a family reunion or small wedding.  The site is equipped with multiple tables, a grill and campfire circle with benches.
