Grayback Gulch campground is located within a beautiful ponderosa pine forest with plenty of wildflowers and wildlife to enjoy. It is located 36 miles northeast of Boise, Idaho just off of Highway 21. The short drive from the city is convenient and the campground offers plenty of room for kids to enjoy the great outdoors. Historic Idaho City is just 2 miles away and great fun to explore. It was once the largest town in Idaho, during a major gold rush in the area.
A campground host is available during summer months.
Grayback Campground is scheduled to be open with full services on April 26, 2013. Reservations can be made through the website: www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
This is a fee campground. Fee envelopes and a collection box are provided near the entrance.
2 group sites / 20 regular campsites / $15.00 - single overnight / $30.00 - double overnight. Group rates available $100.00 - $200.00 per night. Group site A can accomodate up to 150 people and 20 vehicles, and group site B can accomodate up to 100 people and 15 people. Both sites can be reserved at the same time, for even larger groups!

Numerous trail opportunities are in the area just north of Idaho City, where hiking, biking, horseback riding and off-road vehicles can be enjoyed. Grayback Loop Trail begins within the site,offering a 1-mile footpath for hikers. During the winter, the area becomes a playground for back country skiers and snowmobilers.
