Trail Highlights:

  • From the Phillips Trailhead off Teton Pass, the Arrow Trail drops off to the right and parallels the road, winding through open meadow and pine and aspen forest.  The grade is fairly consistent and there are great views.  The trail crosses the road and heads into thicker forest.
  • After crossing the road, the trail winds its way through a mixture of large pine and spruce trees with sections of open meadows with great wildflowers in the spring and summer.  It descends, paralleling the Phillips Pass Trail above which is designated for horse and hike. 
  • The trail continues to descend through mixture of aspen and pine forest until reaching a junction for Phillips Canyon Trail.  There are several small log bridges over the creek crossings on this trail.

Options:

  • From the Arrow Trail you can tie in to the Phillips Ridge Trail, the Snotel Trail, and eventually the Phillips Canyon and Phillips Pass Trail. 

Important Information

  • This trail is designated for bike and hike only. 
  • This trail is designed for beginner and intermediate mountain bikers.  It does however come out onto the Phillips Canyon Trail which is considerably more difficult of a ride.  Be prepared for the descent down the Phillips Canyon Trail to be more technical and watch for uphill traffic.
  • Always check the kiosk at the Trailhead for important information pertinent to the trail.

This trail can be accessed from either the Phillips Trailhead on Teton Pass or the Phillips Canyon Trailhead from Fish Cr Road.  To access from the Phillips Trailhead, head out to Wilson on WY 22 and head up the pass.  A few miles up you will see a sign on your right for Phillips Canyon and a small dirt road.  Park either here below the kiosk or acorss the highway in the larger parking area.  The Arrow Trail starts just up the road past the kiosk on your right.  To access from Fish Cr Road, head out to Wilson and take a right across from the gas station.  Follow this around and take a left onto Fish Cr Road.  Follow this a ways, crossing the bridge, and you’ll see a small parking area on your right.  Park here and follow the Phillips Canyon Trail up several miles until you reach the junction for the Arrow Trail.
