Length: 6 miles from jct with South Fork Fish Cr Trail #4077 to Purdy Creek headwaters
Elevation: 7753 ft at jct with S. Fk. Fish Cr Trail, 8219 at headwaters
Open to: Hikers, Mountain Bikes, Equestrian
Trail Highlights:
- This trail basically follows the creek for several miles until reaching the headwaters. It is mostly open and up on the hillside, and has not received any maintenance in quite some time. Expect some rough conditions
Options:
- This trail can be used as a loop with either Harness Gulch or Hackmore Cr Trail, or you can eventually connect into Sheridan cr.
Important Information
- This trail has not received trail maintenance in many years. Expect to find rough conditions and disappearing tread. Have a good map and know your route well before going.
- This trail is located on USGS quad map for Burnt Mt and Sheridan Pass, 7.5 minute.
- Always check the posted information at the kiosks for maps, updated material on forest regulations and closures.

General Information
Directions:
From Jackson, head north towards Grand Teton National Park on US 189. At Gros Ventre Junction, take a right towards Kelly. Go through Kelly and turn right onto the Gros Ventre Road. Follow this for many miles, past the campgrounds, and past Upper Slide Lake where you will reach a fork in the road. Turn left here and cross the river and stay to the right. Follow this towards Cottonwood Cr, and take a right towards Fish Cr. Park at the end of the road, follow the trail up and take the junction for the South Fork of Fish Cr. Follow this for roughly 2 miles until you reach the junction for the Purdy Basin Trail heading north.
