Trail Highlights:
- The trail begins at the kiosk and begins to climb immediately through the burn that happened in 2011. The trail climbs through burnt forest for several miles until reaching a large open ridge with spectacular views to the south of the Wind River Range.
- The trail follows the ridgeline and eventually enters back into burnt forest where it climbs again to another high open meadow. Here you will see the junction for the West Goosewing Cr Trail to your left.
- The trail then climbs further, skirting along the edge of large red cliffs, offering views of the Tetons and the Crystal Cr landslide, eventually reaching a large open ridge know as Two Echo Park.
- After Two Echo, the trail descends down through thick forest until reaching the Jagg Cr Trail junction in a large open meadow next to the creek.
Options:
- There are a few loop options from this trail, though most require a shuttle. You can loop with the West Goosewing Cr Trail and take it back down to the Goosewing Cr Trailhead, which is not far from the Teepee Cr Trailhead.
- You can also connect in with the Jagg cr Trail and take it back down to the Crystal Cr Trail, and follow Crystal Cr out to the trailhead, which would require a shuttle. Or you can connect into the Jagg Cr Trail and follow it all the way up and over to the Big Cow Cr Trail and take it out to the Gros Ventre Road, which would also require a long shuttle.
