Ochoco Forest Camp is a quaint campground located on Ochoco Creek and just off of FS Road 42.  There are plenty of opportunities for adventure stemming from this one location.  Nearby recreational outlets include:  Hiking or biking on Lookout Mountain Trail, and relaxing by fishing, swimming or paddling at Walton Lake.  There is also a group shelter that can be reserved for large group gatherings

Fees Per night, per site fee: $14/first vehicle; $7/each additional vehicle. This is a concessionaire operated facility, and concessionaires are not required to recognize all Forest Service Passes.

Restrictions: Pets must be on a leash no more than 6 feet in length. Quiet time is from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Campfires must be fully contained in fire rings or grills provided at the campground.

General Information

Directions:

From Prineville, Oregon travel 16 miles east on Highway 26. Turn right at the junction to Walton Lake and Big Summit Prairie (County Road 23) and travel 9 miles to Ochoco Ranger Station. Turn left just past the Ochoco Ranger Station office onto FS Road 2610, proceed across small bridge and take a right into the Ochoco Forest Campground.
