Fox Creek Cabin


Area Status: Open

A 16 x 16-foot log cabin in the Resurrection Creek valley surrounded by spruce/birch forest with views of nearby mountains.

This cabin sleeps 6, and has a table, wood stove, splitting maul, crosscut saw, and outhouse.

Not included: running water, electricity, mattresses or bedding, cooking utensils, or cut firewood.

Reservations: Cabin reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling 1-877-444-6777 (518-885-3639 overseas)  or visiting www.recreation.gov. Cabin reservations (check-in  & check out time) are from noon to noon.
Fees: Per night prices range from $50-75 (2018 prices) depending on season. Cabin fees are based on non-peak/peak season/day. Seasons vary by cabin. A non-refundable service fee will be added to each reservation by Recreation.gov
Restrictions: Resurrection Pass Trail is closed to motorized vehicles May 1- November 30 and will be closed to motorized vehicles during the 2010-11 winter season. Resurrection Pass Trail is closed to pack/saddle stock April 1- June 30.  

General Information

Directions:

Fox Creek Cabin is located on the Resurrection Pass Trail and is 11.5 miles from the north trailhead. The last mile of road before the trailhead is not plowed in winter. This cabin can be accessed by hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, skiing, and snowmobiling (during open seasons).

Big Game Hunting

Wildlife include moose, black and brown bears, Dall sheep, mountain goats, caribou, and wolves. Hunting for these species in designated seasons. Fishing is unexceptional in this area. Review Alaska Department of Fish and Game hunting and fishing regulations.
