Quartz Creek Campground
Quartz Creek Campground is closed for the winter.
During the off-season there is no water, no trash service, and no fees. Please pack out all garbage. Outhouse/toilet facilities may be unavailable.
Access to the Boat Launch and Kenai Lake public access are open year-round. Snow plowing is intermittent as weather and road conditions allow.
Reservations are made though Recreation.gov (1-877-444-6777) and recommended for summer camping. Fees are charged during the summer season. Reservations may be made up to180 days prior to your desired arrival date in the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day in September).
This campground has 45 sites, some double sites, paved roads and spurs. The campground will recieve more upgrades in the future, including an RV dumpstation, picnic sites, and an interpretive pavilion. $23 (single)/$33 (double). A non-refundable service fee will be added to each reservation by Recreation.gov
Water, flush toilets, tables, and a boat launching area.
Quartz Creek Dump Station

- Potable water is available for fresh water tank fill up.

Reservations are taken for the Quartz Creek Campground. There is a user pay station at the entrance to the campground. Single and double sites are available. For reservations, please visit the National Recreation Reservation website at www.recreation.gov. Some first come first served sites are available. The maximum stay is 14 nights.

DirectionsLocated in Cooper Landing on Kenai Lake. Travel south on the Seward Highway and turn right onto the Sterling Highway. The campground is located at Milepost 45 on the Sterling Highway.

Relatively flat with small spruce tress, and lake.

River and Stream Fishing
In addition to river and stream fishing there is also lake fishing in the area. Rainbow/steelhead trout and Dolly Varden in Quartz Creek. See Alaska Department of Fish & Game regulatons.
