October 20, 2016- Tenderfoot Creek Campground is closed for the season.

This campground has 35 sites and no hookups.

Water, toilets, tables, dumpsters, fire pits, boat ramp.

Current Conditions: Gates are closed and locked.
Operational Hours: Summer camping season is over. However, sometimes our campgrounds stay open until it snows or into the winter. If a campground is open, the gate will be open and camping is on a first come first serve basis. No reservations are required for fall, winter, early spring camping. During the off-season there is no water, no trash service, and no fees.  Please pack out all garbage. Outhouse/toilet facilities may be unavailable. Reservations: Reservations are made though Recreation.gov (1-877-444-6777) and recommended for summer camping. Fees are charged during the summer season. Reservations may be made up to180 days prior to your desired arrival date in the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day in September).

General Information


Travel south on the Seward Highway from Anchorage. The campground is located at Milepost 46, near Summit Lake Lodge.

Bear Country! All food must be stored properly in your vehicle or lockers provided in the campground. Be bear aware!
