This campground has 45 sites, some double sites, paved roads and spurs. The campground will recieve more upgrades in the future, including an RV dumpstation, picnic sites, and an interpretive pavilion.

Water, flush toilets, tables, and a boat launching area.

At a Glance

Fees Reservations are taken for the Quartz Creek Campground. There is a user pay station at the entrance to the campground. For reservations, please visit the National Recreation Reservation website at www.recreation.gov. Some first come first served sites are available. The maximum stay is 14 nights.

General Information


Located in Cooper Landing on Kenai Lake. Travel south on the Seward Highway and turn right onto the Sterling Highway. The campground is located at Milepost 45 on the Sterling Highway.

General Notes:

Relatively flat with small spruce tress, and lake.

In addition to river and stream fishing there is also lake fishing in the area. Rainbow/steelhead trout and Dolly Varden in Quartz Creek. See Alaska Department of Fish & Game regulatons.
