Long Valley Work Center (LVWC) is located off of FR 141 (milepost 289.2 on Arizona Route 87). Travel 2 miles on FR 141, turn right onto FR 147A for 0.7 miles, and then take the LVWC road to the left. Situated in the stately ponderosa pines, this site is near the Long Valley Store/Café/Garage complex on Arizona Route 87 (milepost 290). It is approximately 35 miles northeast of Payson and 50 miles southwest of Winslow. The elevation at this camp site is approximately 6,950 feet.
Specifics: This site, which encompasses approximately 5 acres, is an old Forest Service work center. There are 5 buildings on the grounds which are not made available to the public. There are 3 pedestal grills, a group fire pit, 10 picnic tables. Neither water nor garbage service is provided. Your group must make the necessary arrangements for both. There are vault toilets, but for every 25 people after the 1st 50, the group will need to provide port-a-pots. This site can accommodate up to 300+ people.

Location: Just south of the Long Valley Store/Cafe/Garage complex on State Highway 87 (milepost 290) at Clints Well. It is approximately 35 miles northeast of Payson, 50 miles southwest of Winslow, and 60 miles southeast of Flagstaff.

Access: From Flagstaff drive 55 miles south on FH 3 (Lake Mary Road) to AZ 87 at Clints Well. Turn right and drive approximately one-quarter mile to milepost 289.9. Turn left on FR 141 and drive one mile, turn right on FR 147a and go one mile more. The Center will be on your left.
