This primitive campground is located on the shores of Long Lake. It is a popular campground for fly fishing, canoeing, hiking and enjoying a quiet lake.

Reservations: First come, first served

  • $2 for extra vehicle

Usage: Heavy
  • Quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • Campfires in developed fire pits only
  • Fireworks are prohibited
  • Dogs must be on leash
  • OHV/ATV use prohibited in the campground
  • Maximum length of stay: 14 days

General Information


From Republic, take highway 21 south 7 miles to forest road 53 (Scatter Creek). Turn right on to forest road 53 and travel approximately 6.0 miles to forest road 5300-400. Turn left and follow it 0.75 mile to the entrance of the campground, which will be on your right.
