Old low water ford at Sarah's Creek and FS Road 156.

Extending the same primitive feel as its neighboring Warwoman Wildlife Management Area and the Chattooga Wild & Scenic River, Sarah's Creek 26-site developed campground offers a tranquil escape, a place to relax, and perhaps even catch a few fish.

Operational Hours: 24 hours a day, Quite hours are 10pm - 7am
Reservations: Reservations are not accepted. Occupancy of sites are on a first come, first serve basis.
Fees All camp sites are $10.00/night.  Payable at drop-box within campground.
Permit Info: Georgia fishing license and trout stamp are required for fishing.
Open Season: Open year round
Restrictions: The maximum stay is 21 days.  Quiet hours are 10pm-7am.
Closest Towns: The nearest town is approximately 15 miles, or 20 minutes, to Clayton, GA.  Here campers will find restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
Water: No drinking water is provided
Restroom: 1 Chemical vault restroom facility
Passes: The Interagency Senior and Access Passes and the Golden Age and Access Passports are accepted.  These passes entitle the pass holder to a 50% discount on camping fees.

General Information


From Clayton, go east on Warwoman Road for 11.6 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road 156. Sarahs Creek camping area is about 2 miles on the left and right.
