Wahclella Falls Picnic Area.

Update (4/14/15).  Wahclella Falls Trail and Trailhead will not be accessible Friday morning 4/24 and for 3 days during the week of April 27  - May 1 due to paving.  See this press release for more information.  Cars may park at the Toothrock Trailhead 1/4 mile east.

Provides access to: Wahclella Falls Trail #436 & Gorge Trail #400 and the Historic Columbia River Highway bike route.

Hiking to Wahclella Falls is a good option for children and adults. Wahclella Falls is one of the gorge's most memorable waterfalls.

General Information


From Portland, OR: Travel west on Interstate 84 to exit #40, Bonneville Fish Hatchery.  Turn right and right again (south) and follow the road to the trailhead. 

From Cascade Locks OR: Travel east on Interstate 84 to exit #40, Bonneville Fish Hatchery.  Turn left (south) and follow the road to the trailhead.
