The majestic South Fork of the Snake River flows for 66 miles across southeastern Idaho, through high mountain valleys, rugged canyons, and broad flood plains. The South Fork is known as a premier blue ribbon trout fishery; two sub-species of ancient trout have called this area home about 10,000 years, including the Yellowstone and the Snake River Fine Spot. Other fish species here include rainbow trout, brown trout and whitefish. More than 300,000 visitors each year enjoy fishing, camping, hiking, and boating. Fullmer Boat Ramp and Byington Boat Ramp are just minutes away from the campground.
Boats that are registered in Idaho or another state, and any non-motorized vessel (canoe, kayak, raft, drift boat, etc.) will be required to purchase and display IISF stickers in order to legally launch and operate in Idaho. Inflatable, non-motorized vessels must be less than 10 feet in length to be exempted from this requirement.
