Sheltowee Trace Trail #100 Section 12
Area Status: Open
Section 12 of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail is located on the Cumberland District of the Daniel Boone National Forest. It begins on KY 460 and continues to KY 715 at the suspension bridge. The trail winds through the forest with mostly pine-hardwood on the ridges. Huge beech and oak trees tower over a dense rhododendron understory from Salt Fork Branch to Gladie Creek. Part of the trail is within the Clifty Wilderness.

Directions:From Slade, travel west on KY 15 for 1.4 miles to KY 77 on the right. Follow KY 77 for 13.7 miles to the KY 77/460 intersection.
