Clear Creek Picnic Area, located on Cumberland Ranger District, is near Clear Creek Lake, Clear Creek Campground, Clear Creek Boating Site, Clear Creek Iron Furnace and Pioneer Weapons Wildlife Management Area.
The Clear Creek Iron Furnace is a historic landmark dating back to the early 1800s. An interpretive sign at the furnace explains how the furnace was used in the region's early development.

From US 60 at exit 123, take KY 211 south from Salt Lick for 4 miles. Turn left (east) on Forest Road 129 for 2 miles to Clear Creek Picnic Area.
Parking is available at the picnic area.
