Tater Knob Trail #104 is a short trail that begins at the Tater Knob Fire Tower parking area and connects to the south with Buck Creek Trail. It begins by passing by a spring that flows from the limestone rock below Tater Knob. This spring was used by the fire lookouts stationed at the tower. The trail passes below the limestone cliff and continues along the ridge before a long descent to Buck Creek Trail. The trail also connects with Cave Run Trail which begins across the Zilpo National Forest Scenic Byway, parallels the road and then continues north. The trail is located near Cave Run Lake on Cumberland District. Tater Knob Fire Tower is closed to visitation due to damage.

Hiking and mountain biking are permitted on this trail. Horse and motorized use are not permitted.

Tater Knob Trail starts at the Tater Knob Fire Tower parking area, follows the ridge southward then descends steeply along an old timber road, ending at the Buck Creek Trail #118 which is also FS 1056.
