Zilpo National Forest Scenic Byway

Zilpo National Forest Scenic Byway is a gently curving eleven-mile road with a travel time of approximately 20 minutes each way. The route winds through an eastern hardwood forest which provides opportunities to glimpse wildlife and view Cave Run Lake. It is located on Cumberland District.

The byway begins on Forest Road 129 at Clear Creek Lake and ends at Zilpo Campground. To access the byway exit US Highway 60 in Salt Lick, take KY 211 south approximately 4 miles to Forest Service Road 129, on your left. Clear Creek Lake, in approximately 1 mile, is stop #1.
