Section 35 Sheltowee Trace Trail #100
Section 35 of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail on Stearns District begins at the national forest boundary line, just past where the Sheltowee Trace fords Rock Creek and ends 350 feet higher in elevation (after crossing many streams). Shortly after beginning this trail, it will be necessary to ford Rock Creek. If the water has risen, cross to the right of the rocks. You will see a mill and old mine sites along this section.
Koger Arch Trail #633 connects with this trail a mile before it ends, which is well worth the short side trip.
High Water Alternative: Before crossing Rock Creek, follow the footpath to the powerline. Turn left onto the powerline and follow it to the highway. Turn left onto the highway. Follow the sign for Bald Knob and Wilson Ridge. Turn left across the bridge and follow this road to the Koger Arch Trail #633 (0.5 miles).
