Appletree Shooting Range


Area Status: Open

The Appletree Shooting Range, located on Stearns District of the Daniel Boone National Forest, has two large sheltered benches; one target holder at 25, 50 yards; and two target holders at 100 yards. Long-rifle loading supports are provided at each bench.

Respected access is open access... so please dispose of your trash and targets. Use only paper targets. Do not use TV sets, computers, appliances, furniture, glass, metal or any other miscellaneous objects as targets.

A fee is required to use this shooting range. 

  • $5/day, $7/3 days: Pay at site using fee envelope or buy hang tag at district office.
  • $50 annual pass: Buy at the Stearns Ranger District office.
