Sheltowee Trace Section 22 Rockcastle of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail, located on London Ranger District, begins at Wolf Pen Branch and ends at KY 490 along the Rockcastle River.

Forest Service Road 455 fords Horse Lick Creek on a concrete plank that crosses Wolf Pen Branch. From this point, the trail follows the road along Horse Lick Creek and fords the creek at 3.6 miles. The trail continues beyond the ford for 1.3 mile where it intersects with Forest Service Road 489. The trail follows the road for 0.8-mile and then meets KY 89 near the confluence of Horse Lick Creek and the Rockcastle River. The trail follows KY 89 south for 3.3 miles. A bridge crosses the Rockcastle River at the KY 89 junction with KY 490.
