North Flat Rock Trail #627
North Flat Rock Trail #627 is located near Barren Fork Horse Camp on Stearns District, of the Daniel Boone National Forest. This popular campground is for horseback riders who enjoy the forest setting.
The trail follows the edge of the ridgetop through an oak forest. During the winter you can see sandstone cliffs and ridges across Indian Creek. You will often see deer, squirrels and maybe even a bear.

Directions:Follow US 27 north of the Stearns Ranger District office for approximately 1.8 miles to the Flat Rock Baptist Church. Turn right and follow this road for about 3.75 miles to the end. There is limited parking here, or park at Barren Fork Horse Camp or US 27 trailhead and ride connector trails.
