Sheltowee Trace Trail #100 Section 5
Section 5 of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail is located on Cumberland District. From the intersection of Martin Branch Trail #119 to KY 32, this section follows Forest Service Road 977 and crosses under utility lines. From here, 977 ends but the trail continues along the ridge. Hikers will go through private property, and the trail continues further along the ridge to KY 32.
Look for direction signs as the trail descends toward KY 32 across from the Carl Perkins Community center. A right turn will take you to I-64.

The easiest access to the beginning of this trail section is from Forest Service Road 977. Drive to the gated area and park along the road. Use the Martin Branch Trail to connect to this section of the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail.
