Shallow Flats Fishing Site has a fishing platform and a wildlife observation deck. The Shallow Flats Trail  #1209  and Shallow Pond Trail #1211 are located nearby. 

Shallow Flats Fishing Site is located on the Cumberland Ranger District, Daniel Boone National Forest. Cave Run Lake is widely known for its scenic beauty and varied outdoor recreation opportunities. The lake is also the home of Kentucky's state record muskie. This 8,270-acre lake is jointly operated and managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Forest Service. 

You must comply with all regulations established by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources concerning fishing, boating and waterway safety laws. Licenses and regulation guides are available at most retail stores.

Accessibility:

A wheelchair accessible platform with a viewing scope overlooks the wetlands. 


Directions:

From I-64, take exit 133 and go south on KY 801. Continue 8.6 miles to the Shallow Flats Fishing Area.
