Mckay Campground is located off the beaten path along Paulina Creek. It provides campers with seclusion from the main road and the tranquility of hearing the Creek flow. This area is good for bird watching, particularly in the wetlands located west of the campground.

Per night, per site fee: $10/first vehicle; $5/each additional vehicle.
From Bend, travel 23.5 miles south on Hwy. 97, then 3.2 miles east on Road 21, and then 2.7 miles east on Forest Road 2120. NOTE - 6/13/05 The bridge in the campground across Paulina Creek has been condemned and will be removed later this year and is not likely to be replaced soon. Campsites on the north side of the creek will be dismantled, the restroom facility will be closed, and camping there will not be permitted to prevent sanitation problems.
Camping & Cabins
If you want to spend a day in the Newberry Volcanic Monument sightseeing and do not want to camp in a crowded campground then Mckay is the place for you. It provides campers with seclusion from the main road and the tranquility of hearing the Creek flow. It is a nice place just to relax or if you like to be active it provides access to hiking and bicycling trails.
