This campground is located on the lower Metolius River just above Lake Billy Chinook and offers fishing, hiking, and a peaceful setting. 

RVs are not recommended at this campground.

  • One vehicle included with reservation – Each Additional Vehicle: $10.00
NOTE: Holders of a Golden Age and Golden Access Passports and Senior and Access Passes are entitled to the following discounts on expanded amenity recreation fees: -  A 50 percent discount on the fee for a single camping unit. This discount does not apply to use of a cabin, lookout, double camping unit, triple camping unit, group camping unit, extra vehicle fees, or any additional camping units and separately charged utility, water, hook-up or day use fees.

Directions:

From Sisters, OR: Travel 5.6 miles northwest on Highway 20, then 20.8 miles north on Forest Road 11, then 5.0 miles east on Forest Road 1170, and then 7.2 miles northwest on County Road 64.

Campground Camping

Monty features 34 camping sites. Campers traveling here should be careful of the five mile road. It is mostly one lane and the steep bank goes down quickly to the lake about 100 feet below.
