Holland-Sapphire Trail #48
The Holland-Sapphire Trail #48 is 0.8 miles long and climbs about 400 feet from the junction with the Holland Lookout trail #42. It begins at the junction with the Holland Lookout trail #42 and ends at the junction with the Big Salmon trail #110. This trail sidehills along a steep mountain side through loose rocks with great views of the Holland Lake area, Swan Valley, and Mission Mountains and then climbs through a pass. The trail then switchbacks down the backside of the pass to the junction with Trail #110. The trail is open for the following uses: hiking and horseback riding.

General Information
Directions:From Highway 83 turn east onto Holland Lake Road #44 near mile marker 35. Follow this road about 4 miles to the end, past the day use site and campground, to access the trailhead. Trail #48 starts at the junction with #42, which can be reached using trail #415 from the trailhead.
