Accesses the Fremont National Recreation Trail #160 - Southern Segment and the Crane Mountain National Recreation Trail #161. The junction of these trails is located approximately 1/2 trail mile west of the trailhead. Accesses the Drake-McDowell Semi-Primitive Non-Motorized Recreation Area. Parking area is adequate for trailer turnaround and signed trail directions are present.

Directions:

South Fork of Crooked Creek Trailhead is located 45 minutes northeast of Lakeview. Take Oregon Highway 140 north toward Paisley, Oregon. Turn right following Hwy 140 east toward Adel, Oregon. Turn left at Forest Service (FS) Road 3615 and follow it north to the trailhead located on the right.
