Walker Trailhead
Provides access to: Drake-McDowell Semi-Primitive Non-Motorized Recreation Area (area is unavailable). The elevation for Walker Trailhead is approximately 6,600 feet and is the closest trailhead to the North Warner Mountains.
Open to hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders, it is especially popular for horseback. Amenities include one vault toilet and dispersed camping.
This trailhead lies just two miles from Mud Creek Campground, with seven quiet campsites, potable water, and good fishing in the creek.
There is no potable water. Visitors need to pack plenty of water. Trailhead and parking area maintained during open season.

Directions:Walker Trailhead is located 30 minutes north or Lakeview, OR.
From Lakeview, OR take Oregon Highway 140 north toward Paisley, Oregon, turning right to continue on Hwy 140 heading east. Turn left onto Forest Service (FS) Road 3615 and continue north to the trailhead entrance located on the left.
