The trail enters a high elevation conifer forest before reaching Lake Christine. From the lake, it continues north through moderately dense forest, ending at Puyallup Trail #248.

11/20/2015: Closed due to snow. Trails are not maintained in the winter and early spring. Trailheads are typically not accessible late fall thru late spring due to snow. Please call the local Ranger District office for up-to-date information.
A Wilderness permit is required. Permits are free and self-issued at trailheads.
From Ashford, Washington travel east on State Route 706 for approximately 3.1 miles and turn left on Forest Road 59. Follow Forest Road 59 for 4.2 miles and turn right on Forest Road 5920. Follow Forest Road 5920 for 1.6 miles and arrive at the trailhead at the end of the road.
