Trail #132A Observation Peak
This Trail Open to Hiker and Equestrian Use.
This 0.5 of a mile trail located in Trapper Creek Wilderness off Observation Trail #132 and leads to the summit of Observation Peak the site of an old fire lookout. A fire lookout once perched on the 4,207' summit. The lookout was built in 1934, and was abandoned n the 1960s.
Views on a moderately clear day include: Carson Fish Hatchery, Mt. Adams, Mount St. Helens, and Mt. Rainier. An extremely clear day you may view: Mt. Baker and Mt. Jefferso in the distance.

General Information
Directions:From Carson, Washington travel north on Wind River Highway to the Forest Boundry where it becomes Forest Road 30. Continue north on Forest Road 30 to just past the Fish Hatchery where Forest Road 30 forms a V with Forest Road 3065. At this V stay to the right on Forest Road 30 and drive to Forest Road 64 about 2 miles. Turn left on to Forest Road 64 and continue about 5 miles to the intersection where 4 roads meet. Stay more or less straight to get on Forest Road 58. Continue on Forest Road 58 to the trailhead for Observation Trail and hike in to the Observation Peak Trail.
